Emberfall Legends

Emberfall Legends is the rare mobile RPG that trusts you to read. The opening hours build a proper world — feuding cities, a fading old magic, and companions who actually argue with each other. I got attached to the grumpy healer faster than I expected.

Combat is turn-based with a positioning twist: where you stand on the small grid changes what your skills hit. It's simple enough for the road but has real depth once you unlock more of your party. Bosses forced me to rethink my line-up more than once.

The one caution is pacing. There's a mid-game stretch of fetch quests that drags, but push through and the final act pays it off. Auto-battle helps for the grindy bits so you don't burn out.
